Fred Tutman
Fred Tutman is the Patuxent Riverkeeper, who was born and raised along the Patuxent River as were seven generations of his ancestors before him. He volunteered as an activist on the Patuxent for over 20 years before founding the Patuxent Riverkeeper organization in 2004. Fred is also an adjunct instructor at historic St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where he teaches an upper level course in Environmental Law and Policy. An avid kayaker and backpacker, Fred sails on the Chesapeake and helps to maintain the Appalachian Trail in his spare time. Contact Fred at fred@paxriverkeeper.org.
